IPv6 proxy is an innovation developed to improve available address spaces.  Instead of the conventional 32 bits, IPv6 consists of 128 bit values.  This is the key to support trillions of IP addresses.  IP address scarcity was projected reason why IPv6 proxy was innovated.

IPv6 proxy is said to have more security benefits because of its different internal structure which could have more definite data about the systems and determine where network’s proxy was originated.
